Sean W. FitzGerald, Associate Manager
A native Louisvillian, Sean came to Village Lights from a year-and-a-half stint at Carmichael’s Bookstore. He is currently finishing his degree in English remotely from Sarah Lawrence College.
At the age of fifteen, Sean was given copies of Lawrence Ferlinghetti’s Coney Island of the Mind, Jack Kerouac’s Dharma Bums, and Kurt Vonnegut’s Cat’s Cradle. He has since endeavored to read everything of literary value ever printed. Knowing this to be a fool’s errand has only strengthened his resolve.
Sean has many opinions regarding many books, and expresses them loudly and often. Being a child of the sidetracked generation, he is well versed in collections of short stories and particularly sardonic literature. He also maintains a deep and tumultuous love affair with poetry.
